This week I am honoring all things superhero (in case you don’t actually know/understand me, this week is like a holiday since The Dark Knight opens on July 18th). People in the know of course, know that Batman is the only super hero worth his spandex.

I, too, am pretty pumped up about The Dark Knight. Batman lost his luster for me with the whole George Clooney deal, but Batman Begins definitely took us down the right path and the latest installment looks even more awesome.
And Heath Ledger’s Joker looks pretty much insane, and I love that.

Actually, no… I meant spandex… “The most famous brand name associated with spandex is Lycra, a trademark of Invista (formerly part of DuPont). Such is the prominence of the Lycra brand that it has become a genericised trademark in many parts of the world, used to describe any kind of spandex.
